Triority イングランドのチチェスター市は、かつては控えめで秩序正しい街だった。しかしイングランドの南端に位置するこの街の状況は、自己中心的なグレンドル・ジンクスとその「友人」により、一変する。
グレンドルは地元の行政のあらゆる面に影響を及ぼし始めるのだった・・・。
グレンドルの支配下に入るのを防ぐため、主人公はグレンドルをアメリカに送り返す計画を立てるも地元の観光ガイドであるシンディ・エグランティンと「ザ・バイオレット・ホテル」の過労気味のウェイトレス兼清掃員であるオータム・ショーの反対に直面する。
彼らは共同で対抗計画を立てるが、しばらくの間、その代償に気づくことはなかった。
